Curtis Cookingham M.S., P.T. has been a therapist since 1989. He started his career treating adults with neurological injuries, including a longterm residency in the Kaiser Vallejo PNF program. In 1992, he joined the outpatient orthopedic staff at Stanford University Hospital. There he assumed roles as Senior Clinician, mentor to new therapists, and an administrator of over 35 employees. Curtis has also been an educator to other physical therapists since 1996, lecturing throughout the United States on shoulder and knee dysfunction, and lower extremity biomechanics. Curtis lives in Clovis with his wife Pamela and three sons Ryan, Joshua and Nathan. |
Pamela M. Cookingham, MHS, P.T. began as a physical therapist in 1993 with an emphasis in general orthopedics. Pamela has developed and presented educational courses for other therapists nationally and was a clinical faculty member at the University of San Francisco California's physical therapy program until 2002. She was also a lead therapist with the Olympic athlete program in the Bay area. Most recently, Pamela has pursued a specific interest in cervical spine dysfunction and treating injuries common to adolescents. |
Allen Co, M.P.T. received his Masters degree with honors from Fresno State University in 2007. His past clinical experience has included the acute cardiac inpatient setting and working with geriatric patients with balance and vestibular dysfunction. Allen’s primary interest now is working in the outpatient orthopedic setting where he applies manual skills and patient education. His passion is to equip his patients with knowledge pertaining to their injury and how to ultimately achieve their personal goals. In his free time, Allen pursues many sporting and outdoor activities. He has been part of the Thrive Physical Therapy team since the clinic opened in 2004. Allen lives in Fresno with his wife, Kristen, and son Jackson. |
Shelly Edwards M.S., P.T. graduated from University of the Pacific with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2000. She began her career in general orthopedics, but quickly developed an interest in biomechanics, injury, and dysfunction specific to the spine. In the years that followed, Shelly trained in the McKenzie method of mechanical diagnosis and treatment of the spine, developing her present clinical expertise in this area. She enjoys treating patients with both acute and chronic conditions to overcome pain and return to an active lifestyle. In her free time Shelly enjoys spending time with her family and traveling abroad. |
Eric has been working the field of orthopedic physical therapy for 5 years. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from California State University Fresno with his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in May of 2009. His clinical experience has been focused on treatment of orthopedic dysfunction and has entailed formal training in orthopedic manual therapy. Eric is currently working on becoming certified as an Orthopedic Manual Therapist through the American Physical Therapy Association and plans to pursue a doctorate degree in the field physical therapy in the future. Eric is married to his wife Cassandra who works as a registered nurse at Children’s Hospital Central California where she specializes in acute rehabilitation. They enjoy spending time with their family, travelling, and staying active. |
